It's our two month anniversary!

Yes, its been just over two months since we opened our doors and as of yesterday we hit
14 rentals managed by the office. As you could imagine we've been fist pumping the air (well Nick has). It was unknown when we'd crack 10 managements and to have 14 after our second month is just awesome. We're now concentrating on reaching our next milestone of 25 managements. So what's been happening since our last post.... Things have really picked up with us renting 7 properties this month. Some of those rentals were in the following suburbs - Annerley, Fairfield, Woolloongabba, South Brisbane & Greenslopes. Our resort style apartment in South Brisbane went within a week of advertising for $450 per week which was a great result.

We've also seen some wild weather over the last few weeks, my car was telling me it was 38* one day but the last week or so we've seen quite a bit of rain which has really given the gardens a good soaking. The rain does help to cool down the hotter days but 6 or 7 days without the sunshine had everyone wondering what's going on.

Finance news - Suncorp has taken a hardline and put in place lending restrictions on apartment purchases in Brisbane. Buyers need to have a minimum deposit of 20% or more. Some of those suburbs include our local area, Annerley, Fairfield, Dutton Park, Highgate Hill, St Lucia, Toowong, Holland Park and Greenslopes to name a few. In other local news - Moorooka State School had an open air movie night last weekend featuring the animated movie Zootopia, it was a great turn out and there were a lot of happy children. The new development to Fairfield Gardens shopping centre is also coming along with the Post Office recently relocating to a new space at the opposite end near the library entry.
